Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (FMUSP), informa que o pa\u00eds conta com <strong>575.930 m\u00e9dicos ativos<\/strong>, o que equivale a uma <strong>densidade de 2,81 m\u00e9dicos por mil habitantes<\/strong>. O crescimento segue tend\u00eancia observada nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-evolucao-historica-e-projecoes\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Evolucao_historica_e_projecoes\"><\/span><strong>Evolu\u00e7\u00e3o hist\u00f3rica e proje\u00e7\u00f5es<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Em 2000, o Brasil registrava aproximadamente 174 mil m\u00e9dicos. Ao longo de 25 anos, esse n\u00famero <strong>aumentou mais de tr\u00eas vezes<\/strong>. A proje\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 que, <strong>at\u00e9 2035<\/strong>, o pa\u00eds conte com cerca de <strong>1,3 milh\u00e3o de m\u00e9dicos<\/strong>, atingindo uma raz\u00e3o estimada de <strong>4,81 por mil habitantes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-distribuicao-territorial\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Distribuicao_territorial\"><\/span><strong>Distribui\u00e7\u00e3o territorial<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A distribui\u00e7\u00e3o dos m\u00e9dicos \u00e9 heterog\u00eanea. <strong>Capitais<\/strong> apresentam densidade <strong>superior a 7 m\u00e9dicos por mil habitantes<\/strong>. Em munic\u00edpios do <strong>interior<\/strong>, esse \u00edndice \u00e9 <strong>inferior a 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O estudo calcula o <strong>\u00edndice de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o capital\/interior<\/strong> (IDCI), que varia significativamente entre as unidades da federa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-perfil-demografico-da-profissao\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Perfil_demografico_da_profissao\"><\/span><strong>Perfil demogr\u00e1fico da profiss\u00e3o<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dados de 2024 mostram que <strong>49,9% dos m\u00e9dicos ativos s\u00e3o mulheres<\/strong>, com predomin\u00e2ncia feminina entre os <strong>profissionais mais jovens<\/strong>. M\u00e9dicos com <strong>at\u00e9 35 anos<\/strong> representam <strong>parcela relevante<\/strong> da for\u00e7a de trabalho. A tend\u00eancia observada \u00e9 de <strong>rejuvenescimento<\/strong> e <strong>mudan\u00e7a na composi\u00e7\u00e3o de g\u00eanero<\/strong> ao longo dos anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-expansao-do-ensino-medico\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expansao_do_ensino_medico\"><\/span><strong>Expans\u00e3o do ensino m\u00e9dico<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O Brasil contabilizou, em <strong>2024<\/strong>, <strong>389 cursos de medicina<\/strong>, com <strong>44.187 vagas autorizadas<\/strong>. Isso representa uma raz\u00e3o de <strong>21 vagas por 100 mil habitantes<\/strong>. A maior parte dos cursos est\u00e1 concentrada no <strong>setor privado<\/strong> e nas <strong>regi\u00f5es Sudeste e Nordeste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al\u00e9m da gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, a <strong>resid\u00eancia m\u00e9dica<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m apresentou <strong>crescimento<\/strong>. Foram contabilizadas <strong>33.394 vagas<\/strong> de primeiro ano (R1), sendo <strong>24.112 ocupadas em 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os dados indicam <strong>amplia\u00e7\u00e3o da oferta formativa em n\u00edvel de especializa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>, com varia\u00e7\u00f5es regionais e por especialidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-formacao-especializada\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Formacao_especializada\"><\/span><strong>Forma\u00e7\u00e3o especializada<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre os m\u00e9dicos ativos, <strong>65%<\/strong> possuem pelo menos <strong>um t\u00edtulo de especialista<\/strong>. A obten\u00e7\u00e3o do t\u00edtulo se d\u00e1 por <strong>resid\u00eancia m\u00e9dica<\/strong> ou por <strong>exame<\/strong> junto \u00e0s <strong>sociedades afiliadas \u00e0 Associa\u00e7\u00e3o M\u00e9dica Brasileira<\/strong>.
